The PDO Thread Lift procedure safely and instantly lifts loose skin on the face, neck and the body with minimal downtime. It is a cosmetic technique that helps induce collagen, lifting and tightening sagging skin-tissue.
Thread Lift is a non-surgical procedure that makes use of a special thread to lift the skin. This thread is inserted under the skin to reposition the facial tissue in a certain lifted state.
There are two types of procedures with PDO Threads:
MESH
This procedure uses smooth threads and consists of creating a mesh under the skin (i.e. two sutures inserted vertically & three sutures inserted horizontally). Sort of like a “#” sign or a net. This net will serve as a foundation for the new collagen production. This technique tightens the skin naturally from within. Results will appear naturally without drastic change.
LIFTS
This technique, using barbed threads, is used to produce more dramatic and immediate results. The PDO sutures have a barb wire, which provides a grip underneath the skin. Sutures are inserted the same way except they can be pulled in one or two directions, creating instant skin. Just like the smooth threads, the skin will then build new collagen which will secure the lift.
